This shinai uses madake bamboo; to increase the quality and the durability of the shinai.
In addition, this shinai made with vertical surface shaving method; which makes the bamboo pieces thicker to increase the durability.

The Koto shinai allows the players to execute solid straight strikes. Great shinai for anybody who prioritizes quality over quantity strikes.

Unique feature about this shinai is the tsuka. Only the right hand is oval and the left hand part remains round.

This allows the user to have the hybrid feeling of regular shinai; and yet, have a better blade control using the oval handle part.

It may require 2-3 weeks to prepare this shinai depending on the stock.
