Kendo Kata Tachi & Kodachi Daisho Set

Bring greater realism and authenticity to your Nihon Kendo no Kata practice with this elegant and durable Tachi and Kodachi Daisho Set, designed specifically for Kendo Kata training.

Both swords feature blades made from a specially reinforced zinc-aluminium alloy, providing the durability needed to withstand the repeated blade contact and controlled strikes encountered during Kendo Kata practice. The weight, appearance, and traditional construction offer a more realistic experience for practitioners looking to take their kata training beyond standard wooden bokuto.

Traditional Japanese Craftsmanship

Although the overall design is intentionally simple and refined, the tsuba and tsuka feature genuine fittings traditionally used in Japanese sword making.

Each sword is hand-assembled in an iaito workshop in Japan, combining traditional craftsmanship with the durability required for regular Kendo Kata practice.

A selection of tsuba designs, tsuka-maki colors, sageo colors, and saya styles allows you to customize the appearance of your Kendo Kata swords while maintaining a traditional aesthetic.

Tachi & Kodachi for Nihon Kendo no Kata

This Daisho set includes the two swords used by the Shidachi in Nihon Kendo no Kata:

Daito (Tachi)

• Blade Length: 2.4 shaku

• Tsuka Length: 8.5 sun

Shoto (Kodachi)

• Blade Length: 1.5 shaku

• Tsuka Length: 5.5 sun

The Tachi and Kodachi can be purchased together as a complete Daisho set or individually, making it easy to select the configuration that best suits your Kendo Kata training.
