Raisen (雷閃)
The name “Raisen” is inspired by the moment a bolt of lightning tears across the sky—an instant defined by overwhelming speed and a sharp flash of light.
In iaido, the draw of the sword embodies that very moment. Within stillness, a single strike is released in an instant, swift and decisive like lightning breaking through the silence.
True to its name, Raisen was designed as an iaito that represents the speed of thunder and the sharp brilliance of a flash. Carefully crafted to balance beauty and practicality, it offers ease of handling for daily practice while providing the sense of pride that comes with owning a finely made sword.
To devote everything to a single moment—
this is the spirit behind the name “Raisen.”
From stillness to motion.
One flash that leads your training to the next level.
With Raisen, you can choose from a wide range of design and aesthetic options for your iaito. While it is not fully custom-made, it offers far more flexibility than standard pre-set koshirae models.
The blade is made from a sand-cast, bubble-free zinc/aluminum alloy and is available in lengths up to 2.45 shaku.
