This player model shinai is used by Matthew Raymond Sensei, who was a member of Team Canada Men's Team for the 9th~13th World Kendo Championship.
This nito-ryu shinai is only available in Budogu Zen. No other bogu store sells such a fat grip nito-ryu shinai.
MATTHEW (Shoto) is fully custom made and RAYMOND (Daito) is close to full customization.
The 29mm fat grip allows weight balance to be close to the tsuka to have a light tip to swing the shinai in one arm.
The octagon oval grip also lets you hold the shinai firmly.
Customized tsuba and tsuba dome set is available to purchase with shinai.
Only available assembled with double edge tsuka.
Shoto requires 2~3 weeks in production upon order.
Daito requires 1~2 weeks in production upon order.
