This player model shinai is used by Dean Masahiro Ara Sensei, who was the captain of Team Canada Men’s Team in the 13th World Kendo Championship held in Taiwan.
Ara Sensei was also the Women’s Coach during 14th World Kendo Championship and current Head Coach of Team Canada for the 17th, 18th and 19th World Kendo Championship.
This shinai is overall made skinny, but the weight balance is close to the tsuka to make the tip feels light.
Dense madake bamboo is used to create a highly durable shinai. This shinai looks nice and slim.
