Oval Grip Shinai [刀 Katana]

This shinai uses high quality bamboo and tsuka is made in oval shape (koban).
Your kote will be wide open to your opponent if you hold your shinai from a side. This shinai helps your hold it from the top.
This shinai is recommended for beginners who doesn't have a firm grip yet.

特上の竹を使用し、柄部分の形を楕円形（小判型）に仕上げている竹刀です。
剣道は横から握ると相手から自分の甲手ががら空きになり、隙が出てしまいます。そのため上から握るように構えます。初心者の場合、丸型だと上下左右がわかりづらい為、この小判型がおすすめです。
